Rachel Duns Bio:
The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s jazz course graduate Rachel Duns formed her eponymous quintet in 2021 for a debut gig at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre. Since then, Duns has taken her band across Scotland playing various venues and jazz festivals.
Duns quickly made a name for herself after being named 2021’s ‘Rising Star’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards; supporting Buster Williams in Glasgow and being included in The List Magazine’s 2022 ‘Hot 100’. Joined by her bandmates, she has amassed an album's worth of her original compositions, pulling together influences from jazz, neo-soul, blues and psychedelic rock.
